That’s your 330i? And why just the roof?

Why dipped, rather than wrapped?

I like it. I'm planning to dip my wheels sometime next week...

I’ve been looking into it, too. Likely dipping the wheels and maybe the badges on my recently acquired Mazda. Silver on silver is just not a good look.
But yeah, some people do mind boggling stuff with plastidip.

It’s the late 90s tuner scene all over again.

That 320i is pure sacrilege to the BMW world

I feel much more confident in my dipping abilities than I do in my wrapping abilities. And since they started making dip glossifier, I can give it the same look as well.

I own a Beetle. I used this picture to outline the crazy stuff I’ve found in my research. I’m doing just the roof so it accents the car better. My mirror caps and the top of my spoiler are black from the factory. Models with a sunroof get backed out roofs from the factory as well, and it looks really good.

Beetles are historically among the most modified model of car. Have at it.

Dont do it. Just go for paint. My tailgate keeps peeling and I just keep patching it. There are so many runs in it right now, eventually its gonna look like an all black Jackson Pollock Painting. Some point soon Im gonna sand it down and put a coat of satin black paint on it (or maybe chalkboard paint |:,’). Trust me, if you dont wanna worry about it, just paint it.
